Cost of Petrol in Cyprus
Current fuel prices, monthly driving costs, and where to find the cheapest stations.
Updated April 2026
You will need a car in Cyprus — public transport is minimal. Petrol is cheaper than most of Western Europe, but you’ll use more of it.
Current Fuel Prices
Unleaded 95€1.40 – €1.70/L
Unleaded 98€1.50 – €1.80/L
Diesel€1.35 – €1.65/L
From a local: I pay about €1.50/L for unleaded 95. Monthly fuel cost is €120-150 depending on trips to the coast.
Monthly Fuel Budget
| Driving Style | km/month | Monthly Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Light (commute + errands) | 600–800 | €80–€110 |
| Average | 800–1,200 | €110–€160 |
| Heavy | 1,200–1,800 | €160–€230 |
UK comparison: Petrol (~€1.50/L) is 15-20% cheaper than the UK (~€1.75/L). But higher car dependency means similar total spend.
