Inspect and test drive
Check rust, AC, tyres, service history. Pay €50-80 for mechanic inspection if unsure.
Negotiate
Bazaraki prices are 10-15% above what sellers accept. Cash gets better deals.
Transfer at Road Transport Dept
Both parties go together. Bring IDs, registration book, insurance proof, MOT cert.
Pay fees
Transfer: €100-200. Road tax by CO2 emissions. Done.
From a local: Best buys: 5-7yr Japanese cars (Yaris, Corolla, Micra). Budget €5,000-8,000 for reliable daily driver. Avoid suspiciously low mileage.
